Second initial Thriller

James Bond inspires this idea, for our thriller.

The opening sequence is located in a small empty room to give the effect of claustrophobia and there will be a low, dim, subtle light to build intensity (a small light will be ideal to give the idea of darkness and it will change the way we look at the subject, instead of having a bright flashing light). For the props, we will include a lock; possibly one of the old big locks, but even a small one would create the same level of effectiveness, and hundreds of keys on a big key chain and spread everywhere on the floor. We might also include a clock to give the impression of time running through a loud pleonastic sound. There may be a note on the door to tell him about time running out or on the clock to give the effect of intensity of time pressure and to build immediate tension throughout. Then the protagonist will act with more panic to force even more tension. 

The actor will start trying the keys and dropping then one by one, and the man will begin to start getting frustrated about the situation and his hands could become shaky as sign of panic and frighten, therefore he will start dropping more keys. We will add a non-diegetic sound as the soundtrack to give a more dramatic effect and keep playing around with the audience feeling of rushing around and escaping, so we want to really focus on these particular emotions.

The opening sequence could finish in different ways, firstly he could just find the key and escape from the room just in time, secondly showing to the audience that he has a special tool or a technique to make a normal key suitable for the lock or lastly end it with a key in the lock and leave the audience without knowing if he will escape or not.

Story Line

The film will be about this male character and he has to be the hero, this was inspired by movies I watched so in the first place is something that we have already seen but we can change using our creativity to change into something unique. 

The first idea is having this character represented as a hero so he is in a mission and he could follow and kill the villains but at the same time they follow him to avoid him to get through their business. So the opening sequence could connect to a mission he was doing but they knock him down and they wanted to torture him instead of killing straight away and he will escape, find them and kill them. 

This story line is simple and straightforward, nothing so new about it most of action movies are based on this. So we thought of create a classic thriller without giving anything complicated to the audience as the opening sequence we believe could create questions.

Next story line could be him being an ex policeman now employed for an ordinary job with a simple life he is divorced with a daughter that he needs to take care. Changing his previous job for an accident he doesn’t own enough money to provide cures for his ill daughter. One day he meets this woman who can provide treatment to cure her but he has to kill for her, some people and if he wasn’t going to do so his daughter could be in risk. So constrict to do so he goes around killing targeted people and getting the treatment. Going around murdering those people he starts to have enemies that want to kill him too.
