Thriller Ideas

1^st Idea

-A man in the middle of the woods by himself. He is looking at a photograph of a girls, while he is holding a neckless on his other hand.

 

* Wide shot to set the scene in the woods.

2 different ones: the woods from above and in the woods to give two different perspective of the same place.

 

 

Non-diegetic sound could be a soundtrack, a slow paste, only instrumental, to give intensity and keep up with the audience attention.

Pleonastic sound of the photograph paper rubbing against the man’s finger and the neckless jingling.

Small monologue to set the character (killer).

Close up of the face expression of the main character as well as the objects.

 

Cuts as changes of shots.

The camera angles can then focus on what the character is wearing Suite/casual clothes.

Then the camera is going to focus on a mysterious shape behind the character.

It is going to be a dead body.

Close up to the dead body covered up in a sack.

The sound still playing / character talking.

 

2^nd Idea

-Man cooking in a small, dark room.

 

*Pleonastic sound of the timer.

Knife cutting meat and vegetables.

 

 

Close up of those actions and blood coming from either the meat or the man that cut himself.

Pleonastic sound of the hot boiling water too.

There no talking.

Lots of diegetic sounds throughout the all sequence.

May have a slow paste soundtrack to give more intensity.

Contract between slow and fast short sounds and cuts.

The all sequence is going to generally slow paste with lots of cuts and close up as well as pleonastic sounds.

End it with the timer going off and dark black scream.

 

3^rd Idea

-Man (killer) getting ready for his cruel action in a small dark room with just few lighting specially on his face.

 

*Pleonastic sound of the clock ticking and the sound of the clothes while the man is getting ready.

The killer could get a call and answer it (small dialogue to give to the audience a clue of what it is going on)

Man’ s laugh after he hang up the phone.

A sound track could start here as it brings attention to the movie.

While the man is talking with over the shoulder shot we could point the person he is talking to ( the victim) tied up in a chair, make up all over her face as she has been crying, and bruises.

 

 

The man get closer to the victim and we can use a close up of the stepping closer with a pleonastic sound and either a close up of a gun or a knife.

Dark screen with the sound track carrying on for few seconds.
