Thriller Film is a genre that revolves around
anticipation and suspense. The aim for Thrillers is to keep the audience alert
and on the edge of their seats. The protagonist in these films is set against a
problem – an escape, a mission, or a mystery. No matter what sub-genre a
Thriller film falls into, it will emphasize the danger that the protagonist
faces. The tension with the main problem is built on throughout the film and
leads to a highly stressful climax.
Action
Thriller
Action or Thriller genre often involve a typical
theme heroes and villains, guns and other weapons. Although most action genres
are realistic, as it has many subgenres such as adventure, spy, war and Super
hero movies. Most action films contain moderate forms of gore and violence such
as fight sequences, wars violence, torture and etc., that is where the thriller
side comes into it as they always keep you on the edge of your seat, they
usually contain suspense, murders or psychopaths, mysteries and twists.
Comedy

Comedy thrillers are a hybrid genre that draw
subject matter generally from comedy, thrillers, spy, science-fiction, action,
horror and suspense. They include a disproportionate amount, relative to other
genres, of humour.
Conspiracy
Thriller
The conspiracy thriller (or paranoid thriller) is
a subgenre of thriller fiction. The protagonists of conspiracy thrillers are
often journalists or amateur investigators who find themselves (often
inadvertently) pulling on a small thread which unravels a vast conspiracy that
ultimately goes "all the way to the top."
Crime
Thriller
Crime thriller is basically a thriller that
concentrates on the impact of a crime on the protagonist. It is not always
necessary that the perpetrator of the crime be kept secret, as in a mystery
novel, though this can also be a staple ingredient. However, as long as a crime
forms a backdrop to the thriller plot, then we have ourselves a crime thriller.
Erotic
Thriller
The erotic thriller is a film and literary
subgenre which consists of a thriller, that uses suspense, tension, and excitement
as its main elements, with an element of eroticism. The genre became popular,
especially in the United States, from the mid-1980s through the early 1990s,
before declining in marketability.
In some films, the development of a sexual
relationship (or even a one-night stand) is often used to create tension in the
storyline, especially if the people involved should not be sleeping together.

Thriller
The legal thriller is a subgenre of thriller and
crime fiction in which the major characters are lawyers and their employees.
The system of justice itself is always a major part of these works, at times
almost functioning as one of the characters.

against the backdrop of a political power struggle.
Psychological

Psychological thriller is a thriller story which
emphasizes the psychology of its characters and their unstable emotional
states.
Spy
Thriller
The spy film genre, which is often considered a
subgenre of thriller and/or action, deals with the subject of fictional espionage,
either in a realistic way or as a basis for fantasy.
Spy films show the espionage activities of
government agents and their risk of being discovered by their enemies. Offering
a combination of exciting escapism, technological thrills, and exotic locales,
the spy film combines the action and science fiction genres, presenting clearly
delineated heroes for audiences to root for and villains for them to hiss.
Supernatural
Thriller
Supernatural Thriller in which the film brings in
an otherworldly element (such as fantasy and/or the supernatural) mixed with
tension, suspense and plot twists. Sometimes the protagonist and/or villain has
some psychic ability and superpowers.
Techno
Thriller
Techno Thriller is a suspense novel in which the
manipulation of sophisticated technology, as of aircraft or weapons systems,
plays a prominent part.
